Big Kid Bike

Addie is all about being a big kid. She was delighted when she got a "big kid" bike & constantly thanks her daddy for putting together this bike. Not sure where she came up with that though, cuz this bike was handed down to us by some friends...fully built. But at least she is grateful :) She doesn't care it's used and certainly doesn't mind that is it not pink or purple & girly. This is more fitting anyway for our rough & tough little lady. She loves it so much, her first day riding it she drove up to a neightbor we didn't know & proudly announced, "I'm riding my NEW bike!"

new backpack

Addie has been asking for a backpack (and to go to school & do homework with pencils) for awhile, so when I saw this little one I had to get it for her & she loves it!

Here she shows off how she can put it on all by herself.

Funny how such a small sized backpack (or "packpack" as she calls it) still looks big on my little, big girl!

Dedicated

Today, Mason was dedicated at Calvary, making a promise to the Lord to do everything within our power to raise him in a godly way, prayerfully until he can make a decision on his own to follow God. Addie was also dedicated on Mother's Day, 3 years ago...what a wonderful way to celebrate the day!

the Raffi Effect

When I was a kid (BMer here) my music of choice was Raffi and his Singable Songs , we used to listen to this wherever we went. I still remember all of the songs and was able to find a copy of this album so Addie could enjoy it too. Well she has finally given in and now wherever we go we have to listen to "whale with a polka-dot tail!"
